Back in February I posted an update to a blog article on IBM Connections Customizer which described a bunch of new enhancements that had been delivered around that time. In the intervening months, the Customizer development squad has been busy working on many other new features so it’s about time to publish the good news on all that cool stuff.

A week has passed since the Engage conference at the Elisabeth Center in Antwerp. I had a few days’ vacation right afterwards which gave me time to reflect on what was another hugely successful event organized by IBM champion and community hero Theo Heselmans.

In order to ship new features IBM must often extend its backend classes to provide new APIs. I recognise a lot of the APIs called out in this screenshot because they are mostly the new ones added in FP8 to give you the capability of decrypting and encrypting documents.

Feature Pack 8 for IBM Notes/Domino has finally arrived and brings with it a slew of goodies for the Domino developer. From an XPages perspective alone, FP8 is loaded with the aggregation of all XPages Extension Library releases since 9.0.1 GA – that’s a total of 17 releases all rolled into FP8!

Just over a year ago the Bootstrap4XPages project was subsumed as part of the XPages Extension Library on OpenNTF. In July, the XPages team delivered an XPages runtime for IBM Bluemix along with an associated XPages NoSQL playground service that enabled you to experiment with building modern Domino applications in the cloud. That was swiftly followed with a webcast.

OpenNTF XPages Extension Library v11 released

By Martin Donnelly | 12/19/14 10:24 AM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

Hopefully the eleventh XPages Extension Library release for Notes/Domino 9.0.1 will serve as a nice stocking filler for you all as 2014 draws to close. It's been a great year for XPages on OpenNTF with a total of nine releases delivering lots of new features and fixes. This new release is notable for two things in particular. First, it contains a bunch of fixes and improvements relating to the Bootstrap-based responsive design offering that shipped in the previous release (901v00_10.20141105-0922). These will help improve what was already a good out-of-the-box experience - thanks to all who gave feedback, I see that release has exactly 800 downloads as I write !
